About the app
What is VistaDeDron?
VistaDeDron is a free app for drone pilots. It includes a no-fly-zone/restrictions map (ENAIRE and other countries), flight-oriented weather, a flight logbook, communication to the Spanish Ministry of the Interior, Spots to find places to fly, meetups with other pilots, live shared flight streaming, and FPV goggles support.
Is it free?
Yes. Downloading, installing and registering with VistaDeDron is always free, on both Android and iPhone. The app may show ads to sustain itself, but access to its features never requires payment.
Do I need a drone pilot license to use it?
No, anyone interested in drones can use the app. That said, if you actually fly, it remains your responsibility to follow your country's regulations (licenses, aircraft registration, insurance, etc.). The app helps you check restrictions, but it does not replace official regulations.
What devices does it work on?
VistaDeDron is available for Android, iPhone (iOS) and as a web app. Some hardware-specific features (like direct USB connection to FPV goggles) are only available on Android due to iOS's own system limitations.
What languages is it available in?
The app and this help center are available in Spanish, English, French and German.
Does it work without an internet connection?
Some features (like viewing already-downloaded documents or locally saved flights) can work offline, but the restrictions map, weather, notifications, and social features (Spots, meetups, shared flight) need an internet connection to stay up to date.
Account and privacy
How do I change the app's language?
You can choose the language in Settings. If you don't change it manually, the app follows your device's configured language by default.
Is my flight data and location safe?
Yes. The most sensitive data (such as flight logs and pilot/operator documentation) is stored encrypted on your own device, not on a server. You can read the full details in our privacy policy.
Can I move my data to another phone?
Yes, from My account → Transfer data you can move your private data (flight logs, documents, etc.) directly and encrypted from one device to another, without going through our servers.
How do I delete my account and my data?
You can request it at any time by writing to info@vistadedron.com, or using the report/suggest option in Settings inside the app. We will handle your request within a maximum of 30 days.
Why is web registration limited?
This is intentional: full account registration is designed to be done from the app itself (Android/iOS/web app), where we can better verify the account and give you every feature from the start.
Main features
What is the restrictions map?
It's a map that shows areas with flight restrictions (ENAIRE in Spain, plus official data for Germany and Portugal), to help you check before flying whether an area has any limitation.
What are Spots?
Spots are places recommended by the community for flying: each Spot includes useful information (maximum height without coordination, whether you need to notify the Ministry of the Interior, nearby hazards, parking, etc.) and goes through a review before being published.
What is communication to the Ministry of the Interior?
In Spain, certain flights need to be notified in advance to the Ministry of the Interior. The app helps you identify when that applies and manage it, but the official procedure always depends on current regulations.
What are meetups and shared flight?
Meetups let you coordinate with other pilots near your area to fly together. Shared flight lets you live-stream what you see (screen or FPV goggles) to other people during the flight.
